End of Season Party

Tonight was the "End of Season" Baseball Party for the Hunterdale Mustangs. We enjoyed hotdogs, chips and cake..It was a nice time..

I'm so proud of Matt who coached the boys this season..He did a great job!..He loves baseball as much as Caleb does and I know he enjoys coaching Caleb along with the other boys even though it can kind of be a little challenging "coaching" your own child..But they both did well..I love both of my guys and love every minute of watching them on the field and doing one of the things they love to do...

Brave Girl

Today was Gracie's first dermatologist appointment ever! She has had a mole on her right knee for some time that has had Mommy a little concerned..It appeared several months back and I thought it was a tick..But it wasn't..It kept growing and growing..Well, I decided I was going to have it looked at just to be on the safe side. I told Gracie the dr. was going to just look at it and that's all he was going to do today..Well, the dr. didn't DO exactly do what Mommy told Gracie..He ended up removing the mole today in the office..Gracie was not very happy about that but she did wonderful..She cried a little bit and held on to me while the procedure was being done but overall she did great..They told me that she did better than most grown men who have had that done..She even got 3 stiches which hurt just a bit but not too bad..We are believing for a good report from the doctor when we return to have the stiches removed..After we left the doctors we went to Chickfilet and Gracie played on the playground and then we went to Belk and got her Bitty Baby a little bathing suit and coverup..That made her Happy!

Crocodile Dock

Great Bridge West Ministries has just finished our week at Crocodile Dock..What an awesome week it was! We were able to minister to over 50 kids this week..How Great is that? God is awesome!! Our Bible Points this week were:
Day 1-God is with Us.
Day 2-God is powerful.
Day 3-God does what he says he'll do.
Day 4-Jesus dies and comes back to life.
Day 5-God cares for us.

We learned that God spoke to Moses in a burning Bush, God sent plagues to Egypt, God spared the Iraelites at Passover, Jesus died and came back to life, and the Isrealites crossed the Red Sea. We learned all of this through song, bible teaching, crafts and games..It was so much fun!

On Thursday night several kids gave their heart to Jesus..Awesome!..So touching to see kids praying and wanting to be prayed for..We had soo many volunteers that did an outstanding job..I know the Lord was smiling down on each of them as they gave of themselves this week. Here is a group picture that we took tonight....I will probably post some more of the week on a slideshow tomorrow....Again, I say Awesome!!

Last night of Baseball

Last night was the start of the tournaments for baseball..Our team played Capron. The game started at 8pm but got delayed due to lightning..We started back about 9:50 and played up until 11pm. Our boys played hard and played a good game..We lost by 2 runs which was a little disappointing but our boys really showed good sportsmanship..So proud of Hunterdale Mustangs..They tell us that this year is the first year in a long time that the Hunterdale Mustang team has won more games in a season than in years past. Way to go guys! I only got a few pics last night..Here are a few...

Awards Ceremony

Today I attended the 3rd and 4th grade awards Ceremony at Riverdale. Caleb received the Reading Achievement Certificate and an award for having Honor Roll all year long! I'm so proud of Caleb. He is a very smart boy and excels in all areas...Just like I said with Gracie, I will say for Caleb..I'm so blessed to be his mommy and I love him dearly. He is also a blessing to our home and I cherish every moment with him. He will be a fourth grader next year, I can't believe it! Time is sure flying..but I'm loving every minute of it....

First One In Pool!

Growing up that was always the thing..who is the first one in the pool after its been opened??..My grandparents put in a swimming pool when I was younger (younger than Caleb is now)..I was probably about 8 years old..Us kids stayed in that pool all summer long...We loved, loved it..Ma kept us during the summer so that's where we'd be..We would even swim at night with the "bats"..Memories of those days are forever in my heart. How I loved staying at Ma & Pas..I cherish all the good and fun times we had..My kids now get to enjoy the swimming pool after all these years..It's kind of neat to look at my kids and think I was that age doing the same things they are doing now..(Just means I'm getting older, but that's okay!)I'm glad they too can enjoy it. And I'm glad Ma and Pa can still enjoy watching those "grandkids" enjoy themselves...By the way...Caleb was the 1st one in the pool for 2009..

"Please, Please,Please"

These are the words I found in my purse when I got to work this morning..So cute..Caleb has been asking me for several days to get him some colored Sharpies Pens for his Field Day Tshirt that he wants to get signed on Thursday at school..He snuck a note in my purse for me to find..I couldn't resist....So off to Walmart I went to buy him some Sharpies..Gotta love my Boy!

Saturday's Cookout

On Saturday the Kidd's hosted a cookout at our house for GBW Leadership Team. The weather was really nice..Alittle warm but not unbearable! The bugs kind of got bad as the evening went on. I always love having people over but sometimes I get a little stressed..that's just me..But it all turned out nicely as it always does..
